According to C.R.Mankame, the knowledgeable store manager who has worked here for some sixty years - ever since he was eleven years old - within this cramped space are nearly 100,000 books.
Uma Mahdevan-Dasgupta pays a tribute to that Bibliophile's paradise -- The New and Secondhand bookshop, near Metro Cinema, which is 100 years old this year.
