Here's a new way to pick up recommendations for the kind of authors and books you like to read.
Enter the name of an author at Literature-Map and the website provides you with a "map" of similar authors.
Some of my searches: J. K. Rowling, Douglas Adams, Isaac Asimov, Ursula Le Guin, Iain Banks, and (just for the heck of it) William Shakespeare.
