Indian Specualtive Fiction

Samit Basu (author of The Simoqin Prophecies and The Manticore's Secret) has put up a great series of articles and interviews on science-fiction and fantasy in the Indian and South Asian context.

There is an essay that discusses how the fantasy/SF genre sits with Indian writers. There's an essay on the Indian Superhero and another one that discussess Indian Children's Literature and speculative fiction. And there are a series of interviews -- Ashok Banker, Jai Arjun Singh, and Manjula Padmanabhan feature amongst many others.

It is a feast for lovers of science fiction and fantasy. Please visit this table and keep moving along.
